This is She
This series is a meditation on the strengths, resilience, and untold stories of women. Pieces often begin with a particular woman—her gaze, her gesture, her presence--paired with something else: a color, a shape, a bird, a bloom. I ask the woman how it feels to be in her body, what she longs for, how she wants to be known. I usually give her a halo. I hope the work sparks recognition, joy, and a glimpse of something deeply felt.

Still Life
Everything is alive, as every painter and psychic knows. While I usually favor human forms, I also enjoy playing with so-called inanimate objects in their own plane of existence.

Life's Persistent Questions
I'm not trying to solve anything, just reflect on the weirdness of life these days. Two people run across a grassy urban lot, a hydrangea blossom looming overhead like a thundercloud, while a massive elephant, half-submerged like an apparition, strides through a dreamlike expanse of snow, dwarfing a solitary traveler. Where are we again?

Love, War & Addiction
Things fall apart, wrenches fall from the sky, cravings get the best of us, people lie, people die. We can can be surrounded by loved ones and know in the depths of our soul that the only thing we can control is how we respond, and it's still hard. This section includes images made under the influence of love, war, and/or addiction. Some are pretty, most are not. What are you going to do?

Five by Eights
My first collages were 5x8 inches. They had nothing in common but size and the imperceptible seeds of a voice. I’m including some here because I still like them and maybe you will too.
The work is loosely organized by theme and vibe, with each collection linked here and in the dropdown menu.
